With Easter just around the corner I find myself thinking of the 'The Passion of the Christ' as I so often do now at this time of year. It was a movie that touched me like none other ever has. I would have to say that it is the movie that has impacted me more than any other, it is not one I would watch over and over, but I will never forget the emotions it stirred in me and the overpowering sense of gratitude I felt. My children will tell you that 'mum always cries in movies!' and yes I did cry, huge uncontrollable sobs, I wept a mother's tears. The moment that brings me to tears even now whenever I think of it is when Mary sees Jesus stumble under the weight of the cross, and she has a memory of running to help him when he fell over as a small child. A mother's love..... what greater love? Only God's love for us...... he gave his one and only Son so that we might have life!
So my inspiration for creating at Easter time has come from these thoughts..... maybe not what is expected but coming from a mother's perspective. I hope you find this thought provoking............
